Second month, second block.  This month’s Queen Bee is Sue from Sevenoaks Street Quilts.  She chose a really nice block with a plus sign, and asked for a monochromatic color scheme with white or cream background pieces.  She also offered a few photos for inspiration, which were really helpful (here and here).

Perhaps I took her request a bit too literally, but here is my block:

Clearly, I went with blues.  The center is a Me + You batik and the edges are from Blueberry Park.  I had fun playing around with a few different colors and stash pulls, which gave me some ideas…but more on that on Sunday!
